Food, Food... and Food: Homemade and Kitchen Workshop

This week has been incredibly draining on me but I am slowly surviving it! It's my first week of mid semester holidays and I fell pretty sick which wasn't very good. My sinuses have been playing up and left me looking bloated and puffy faced sometimes and at other times really sickly and pale. I really have wanted to just hide away forever till my face doesn't look so bad... :(

But on the plus side I stayed at home and made lots of nice things for myself to enjoy. The best of those was smoothies!

I always always always make these for myself and it's so easy and rewarding and most importantly... tasty! ;)

All you need is good plain yoghurt, orange juice, a few cubes of ice and fresh fruit. Blend it all together and then add in some little cubes of cut fruit, mix manually and you're done!!! If you want to make it prettier in your glass, leave some yoghurt, juice and fruit aside then once it's blended place a dollop of yoghurt at the bottom of your cup, pour on your blended mixture, and finally pour a bit of juice on top to make a nice gradient of colours in your glass. Then if it's thick enough place fruit on top to float there beautifully~

Also, being sick, of course I had to make myself soup!!!!

But enough of my own boring cooking and onto going out!

I had planned to go with friends to karaoke but that of course was cancelled last minute so instead I insisted we all go to eat out at a restaurant. In the end we ended up at Kitchen Workshop at Crown. Buffet means I can stuff my face~ ;)

To be honest, for the $31 I paid, I was a little let down with the food but that isn't to say that it tasted bad. I just was in the mood for something really extravagant I think... I wanted to spoil myself more. But on the positive side, I had been CRAVING crab so I was glad to eat a fair bit!

I ended up eating more than what I took photos of because I poured water accidentally all over my camera (It survived) so I put it away in fear I would drop more on it for a while. I also ate prawns and ripped them apart for the first time in my life which was exciting. Usually someone always did it for me because I never liked getting my hands very dirty.

I did bring my camera back out for dessert which tasted pretty good. ;)

^My friend drew that! He is so talented *jealous*^

All in all, this week has been fun and look forward to my next posts on shoes that I'm going to post pretty soon and then after that, another post that you can see a preview for below! Thank you for coming and reading my blog :)
